The fact that Fred is looking the other direction when it’s right wing violence is the icing on the cake. But to some people, the truth in this meme is that Fred just uncovered a man in a dress – so clearly it’s a drag queen and that warrants further crackdowns on trans people.
Having said that, I feel like people are way too quick in jumping to conclusions made without solid, factual evidence when it comes to things like the most recent example of political violence.
Why is it a race to disavow this kid?
Regardless of his ideology, he would have benefitted from mental health treatment, which we aren’t funding. We don’t know enough, but if we had some reasonable laws restricting access to firearms, it may have prevented this.
Edit: Oh, and clearly his support system failed him.
