We have bots from Russia, China, all over the world that are trying to instill disinformation and encourage violence.” He did not elaborate on the nature of the threats, but added, “We’ll have more to say about that in the days and weeks to come.”

    Three options:

They’re desperate to invalidate people like me, posting about how gleeful we are.

Like Christians who think atheists believe in god deep down, they can’t process the fact that so many are happy or don’t give a fuck.

There really is some meddling from the same foreign groups that have been doing that exact thing for years.

Probably a combo of all three. Which one has the most weight you think?

I seriously doubt they have a pile of evidence 24-hours after the fact. And no, they won’t have jack to say in the days and weeks to come. Even if they find the receipts, they right cannot admit that the President’s bff is meddling in our affairs. Brings up too many questions about the legitimacy of our elections, the influence on them.

    Your personal Russian bot here.

Political violence can assume a lot of forms: from terrorism to lobbying. The political violence also is being contained by certain rules: the violence couldn’t be executed on certain territories, against certain groups (politicians, policemen); could be executed by legal authorities, etc.(see state of exception).

The spike of political violence is not a disease, it’s a symptom of something wrong - that some of these rules are being violated aggressively or the violence is being executed which is not acknowledged as political.

It doesn’t look like we’re beyond the point of no return of these rules to be rewritten, but we’re very close to it.
