      Well Lyme disease did kinda end her career after her 2002 album and it took her 15 years before her next album (which in comparison to her previous work was a bit meh) so not surprising for anyone born 22 years ago or younger.

        Wow really? I stopped listening to redneck pop in the late nineties, so I’m ootl, but Lyme disease is no fun :-(

          Lol, I somehow never heard that genre referred to “redneck pop”. I’ve always called it Horse Disco

            I think Bo Burnham’s “Pandering” sums up my feelings on redneck pop pretty well. I still enjoy the “New Country” songs from when I was a kid, but at a certain point it got a bit silly. I think “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” was the breaking point for me.
