I agree. I’m still waiting for the first definitive edition with one expansion to arrive.
I keep saying this every Civ thread but Civ 6 on release looks like quite a different game to when you add the GS and RF expansions.
Oh and they really should hire Luigi to fix the UI.
Burn as slow as you like, but you can’t cook with Ash. Every title after V has been a downgrade, gamers are spiteful by nature.
I think gamers as a group can also tend to be forgetful and unable to stick to their principles… How many boycotts were just hot air? I feel like the Civ crowd might be different but I don’t hold out much hope that people will really vote with their wallets
I feel you. Your statement makes me think of the biggest “call to inaction” that hasn’t been effective, stop pre-ordering. It really doesn’t make any sense in the age of digital media, yet all the publishers have to do is offer a week’s early access or some cosmetics players will stop using in a month and people can’t help themselves. Then they come into forums whining “I pre-ordered and the games literally unplayable!” Yes! Don’t you remember when this happened the last umpteenth times from the same company?!?
I still mostly play V and IV, although I’ve been meaning to get into VI (have about 50 hours, but that’s nothing for a game like Civilization).

It’s funny but also somewhat true.
