A behind the scenes look at my literature process. Print interesting papers, stack them up, when I go to the sauna I grab a few, read and sweat all over them.
My sweating is much more manageable now that I’ve been doing this for awhile, if I hold the papers a little away from me I only get a few drops of sweat.
I drink 1.5l of water before going in, and 500ml when coming out.
It’s a fun way to catch up on the literature, and get some quiet time, life kinda gets paused, everyone leaves you alone, it’s very refreshing
I took the photo before i turned the sauna on, I like my phone too much to risk it in a hot sauna.
On days I don’t workout, I just sit in the sauna reading while it warms up. 15m warm up to 80C, then I stay in for another 20m, so about 35m total time, but only 20m at temperature
On workout days, I pre-warm the sauna before i work out, then cool down in 80C sauna (sounds crazy right? but yeah, i’m relaxing in the sauna!)

LiPO batteries don’t like high temperatures and it will likely degrade their charging capacity, so that’s very wise imho!
I really should start going to the sauna, it sounds really relaxing and the benefits sound great too.
If you have access to one, I can’t recommend it enough.
It’s a process that rewards consistently, so stick with it on a regular schedule! I felt improvements immediately when I started
How often do you go?
Every day, well - almost every day.
I started at 60C for 10m, then worked up to 15m, and now up to 80C. Don’t push yourself, stay in until its uncomfortable and get out.
Drink water and electrolytes before you go in, then drink more water after when your cooling down. I don’t recommend taking a water bottle in since its very hot it can break down plastics. Make sure you dont take your glasses inside (I melted my lenses).
