Yes but what did Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and Ben Shapiro have to say about it? What about David Duke? Was he unavailable for comment? You can’t just go to Elon all the time, let’s get some diversity of opinion in there.

Please post less about him, or at best ignore him. The constant Musk spam is really getting annoying.

This isn’t what I would call news. The article provide no new substantive information, and it’s not significant enough to be world news.

It’s not even punditry. IMHO this fits in the “old man yell at clouds” category.

On Thursday afternoon a stabbing incident in Dublin saw three children and an adult injured near a school, which some people blamed on the government’s immigration policy.

Police say right-wing agitators were behind violent protests which followed the stabbing, bringing angry mobs onto the streets of the city centre, burning vehicles and smashing windows amid a wave of anti-immigrant sentiment.

I have my suspicions about where Musk’s sympathies lie.

Mastodon has user defined word filters, you can completely mute this crap (of course people love misspelling his name).
I wish lemmy/kbin would get something similar it’s really annoying to have this fucker in my feed daily.

Kinda seems like Ireland just hates itself right now. Can’t figure out how to support the terrorists in the middle east while stemming the terrorism they are claiming is happening at home.

Fascinating stuff in the land that introduced me to terrorism in my youth.

Strong leadership is needed to navigate that mess.

I have no clue what you are on about. Nobody - I repeat NOBODY - supports Hamas here. But, we do support the Palestinian people, who are lot of other nations seem to want to go away.

See, that’s what the Irish people have experience of: fucking terrorists carrying out atrocities in the name of the rest of us, while innocent people get caught in the crossfire when a larger nation tries to stamp them out. Which is being amplified a thousandfold in Gaza right now.

And about those fucking idiots up in Dublin last Thursday? Yeah, totally riled up by foreign influence themselves.

How can you say no one supports Hamas when there’s news clips and plenty of photos of Green flags being flown at rallys? There are unquestionably people who support Hamas amongst your countrymen.

If you supported the Palestinian people, you’d be supporting the removal of Hamas. I don’t agree with Israels tactics but I fully support their goals.

That’s very disingenuous of you to say. Did you not read my comment? Or did you cherry pick a single point to twist its meaning. I said that the Irish people were well versed in militant organisations committing atrocities in their name. Who do you think might be hoisting hamas flags?

Look, we all know this is hideously complex, with bad actors and innocent victims on both sides. But how can you support Israel when they are continuing to settle Palestinian land with government-protected settlers, demolishing the entire region, killing innocent civilians.

You know what stopped the troubles in NI in the end? Diplomacy.

I read your comment to the point where you lost credibility. You’re saying no one supports them when there is clear support. Take a step into reality and then the conversation can continue.

Both sidesing this is fucking bullshit too. One side is clearly saying they’re not going to stop. Once they are removed there’s a chance for diplomacy.

Oh my god are you still on the hamas flags that the Ira used to march with? I’m sure if you look close enough you’ll find Israelis who support Hamas. If you can find a verified, recent photo, I’ll believe you. But it’s certainly not widespread and not mainstream.

And how many times did the Ira and the uda say they’d never come to the table? Diplomacy works. And without wiping out a population, it’s the only thing that works.

Hamas is still saying they’re going to massacre Jews. They’re saying it on TV in Arabic for everyone to hear.

When they stop calling for genocide, the deaths will stop. They’re not going to do that though, they have less respect for human life than you seem to be able to acknowledge.

That you’re defending those who carry the flags of terrorists is utterly disgusting but you’ve already established who you are with your comments so I’m past being surprised. That you’re intentionally ignoring what the world witnessed just reinforces your bigotry for anyone who sees your comments.

What the absolute fuck, you’re wilfully not understanding me.

I said that the Irish people were well versed in militant organisations committing atrocities in their name. Who do you think might be hoisting hamas flags?

how is that defending anyone carrying terrorist flags? The exact opposite: they’re fuckwits, who have no say in Irish political discourse any longer. But in the recent pro-Palestinian marches in Ireland, there were Palestinian flags, but no Hamas flags.

How can anyone expect a terrorist organisation to stand down when every atrocity is reciprocated ten-fold? Logically, that sort of response just leads to escalation.

All of Gaza is not Hamas. The vast majority are not combatants in a war. They’re just normal people, caught in the crossfire, watching their homes get destroyed, dying. That’s who I support. Fuck Hamas. Fuck war.
