@croyle@wandering.shop I think this picture would be just the kind of thing I’d enjoy if I’d not been pulling 10hr shifts this week making fake I-beams.
@tamonten@mstdn.social It is a cool spot to visit. My kid and I went magnet fishing there once a pulled out a bunch of scrap and old railroad spikes, which I use in my blacksmithing.
What’s the story behind the fake I-beams?
@croyle@wandering.shop currently working on building the set for the UK touring version of To Kill a Mockingbird. Taking the US design and making it work for UK theatres. I think this pic is from the London West End run, but you can get the idea from it.
@tamonten@mstdn.social Ah, that’s very cool and sounds like a fun set building gig. Have they given you various height specs to work towards?
This also reminds me that I need to go find a copy of The Backstage Handbook. I’ve been meaning to get a copy for I think a couple of years now. :)
@croyle@wandering.shop I’m annoyed the only one I could find had to be shipped from the US, then found out there’s a big UK theatrical supplier that stocks them but their online presence is utter rubbish.
