minus-squareDontRedditMyLemmy@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up14·2 months agoI don’t have cable. Is this an accurate procedure?
minus-squarechicken@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8·2 months agoI’ll be honest I don’t own a television, though maybe someone else knows
minus-squareObjectivityIncarnate@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 months agoYeah, that just made me think of “vertical hold”, which is a REALLY old thing you’d have to deal with on TVs, lol.
minus-squareRampantParanoia2365@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 months agoI’ll be honest, I had no idea you could delete channels from a cable box.
minus-squareGlitterbomb@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 months agoThere’s already little devices you can buy that just cycle through every IR code to turn off every TV in range. This should get coupled with a mic listening for Fox News commercial bumps before activating.
minus-squareRampantParanoia2365@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 months agoDo you mean for public TVs like at the gym, and waiting rooms?
minus-squarephx@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 months agoIs there a specific sound to those? It actually could be possible with an ESP chip, IR transmitter, and a decent pickup mic
minus-squareGlitterbomb@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 months agoI’d be shocked if fox doesn’t use some sound effects at the start of shows as a pavlovian response to get their viewers salivating
