Potassium RDA on labels is a bit ridiculous. I actually looked into this yesterday or the day before. There isn’t actually an official RDA for potassium because nutritionists haven’t agreed on one yet, so the one listed on nutritional panels is a loose recommendation to ensure you don’t under-consume potassium. I probably hit 10-15% of the RDA, and I just had a blood panel done and my potassium levels are upper mid range.
And RDA’s aren’t really useful in the first place. They’re from observational data, not analysis.
