I feel like there are definitely propaganda accounts on Reddit who are professionally engaged in creating a “debate” about whether Israel is actually doing anything wrong at the end of the day, or about whether it’s a bad thing that company X is farming puppies to be used in ritual sacrifice, or whatever the issue is that whoever-with-money wants to create a disagreement about.

Just like on Lemmy it’s impossible to say definitively whether this person is one of those accounts, but it would explain the hostile tone and total lack of interest in absorbing what the other person is saying on any level.

That was a really good troll. We’ve had very few that good on lemmy thankfully. Note to people just finding out about sealioning, best ways to counteract is to downvote, clarify in one comment, and then move on. If you’re explaining, you’re losing.
