I recently had to realise that seeing the pictures of transition timelines of others is like literally an instant trigger for my Dysphoria. That’s why I would really like if could put an NSFW Tag on The pictures, so that I or others dont have to see them if we dont want to. I would really appreciate that. :)
I’m gonna put an NSFW tag on you in RL because you’re fucking cute already :3
Lol
aweeeee >~<
whyyy do u all alrdi kno each othrrrr … rosi will auch!! (translates to “rosi also want”) grabby hands ✋✊✋✊✋✊
Weil wir uns schon zwei mal beim c/ich_iel@feddit.org Zuhausitreffen getroffen haben.
Bad precident to set. There’s folks out there trying to get being even slightly gender non conforming declared a sexual act. That’s not an opinion that should be indulged anywhere by anybody
I agree. I think it would be better to instead use something like a [timeline] tag on the title so people could easily block it. Labeling it as nsfw sends the wrong message.
The reason I suggested the NSFW Tag is, because than the Image gets blurred. Since humans (which includes me) are very visual, we tend to look at the image before reading the title. So even when scrolling past the post I will still see the picture which then may trigger the Dysphoria.
So I know it depends on your front end on how to do it, but it’s possible to block posts that feature keywords that you set yourself. It’s why tags in square brackets tend to get recommended over making everything nsfw. So if the community can agree on what they’d like to tag transition timelines with, it would allow people who don’t want to see them to block them and have them not show up at all.
I only use the standard web frontend and Jerboa, and both dont allow filtering for keywords. This is why I suggested using RhE NSFW Tag to blirr The Image.
yis… sadly i do agree… wsh t wouldn be so uncomf - bt it is… so yea -
I’m considering this and how best we can implement a practical solution to this. One possibility would be to add a rule asking that timeline posts add some or all pictures not in the main post but in the comments. Another would be to remove image posts entirely and direct that traffic towards other communities.
I think the NSFW tag is a good idea, if our community didnt already have a rule banning NSFW image posts. I also would prefer to keep the NSFW tag connected with NSFW content cause I think starting to use it for other things would diminish its use for actually filtering out NSFW content.
Thanks. The reason I thought about the NSFW tag is because it blurrs the image. Someone else pointed out to use keywords to filter the post, but this isn’t supported by all frontends. The Idea to move the images to the post body seems like the perfect middle ground.
