I have two crazy things going on right now…

A roommate is acting like the manager of the house when she’s a paying tenant just like I am.

She says there’s a schedule of when to clean the bathroom but never shows me. I clean it and she shows me after the fact.

Then I clean the bathroom and she’s like “Oh, you gotta buy Clorox Wipes for $7 you can’t trust that Scrubbin Bubbles shit.” ‘When we clean the bathroom we do this that and this. I’ve been here four years.’

Four years? This isn’t some fucking union job where you get seniority. We all pay to live there. If she doesn’t like the way I clean the bathroom she can do it herself.

The other roommates are awesome, this one is a fucking weirdo. She told me not to put the toilet lid down because when that happens she has to grab a toilet tissue to pick it back up.

I cleaned the mirror with cleaner and she’s like ‘Oh, you used a paper towel didn’t you.’

She put up a sign saying ‘Clean the hair out of the shower drain.’

I always hear her going into the bathroom going ‘Oh my God, this and that is wrong.’ and cursing about it.

She’s obnoxious AF.

And my best friend here, he is a Pastor I have known for years. I work at Office Depot from 2pm to 7pm. He wants me to be at some place at 6 am. He’s insinuating that if I don’t go I’m straying from God and bad things will happen. I helped him out when he was being evicted by driving him places he needed to on the Big Island. Supposedly, Mark Benioff of Salesforce wanted to hire me, but he was upset because I slept in on a Friday when I didn’t have to work. I’ve known this guy for six years or so.

Now I’m on Oahu and the only friends I have are him and the people at church. But I’m starting to think he’s a manipulator and a liar.

Shit, wtf!?

        Friends don’t lie to or manipulate friends. Just gonna leave that for your consideration. Obnoxious housemate sounds like she has a disorder, she may need psychiatric help. Good luck bud.

    Definitely sounds obnoxious, but consider how difficult it must be to move through life like that. What she’s going through psychologically sounds like it’s hers alone, I recommend trying to not take it personally and just going about your business, and trying to approach her with kindness even when she’s in distress because she has to touch the toilet lid.

    (You might mention to her that if you flush with the lid open, there’s a plume of microscopic droplets that emerges from the toilet and settles on all the surrounding surfaces)
