there’s a stadium directly below this balcony to provide view of the games

so i assume these baffling barriers are for safety–
we don’t need rowdy hotel guests throwing bottles of beer down on the opposing team now do we? 🤣

not to be weird but that might make it super annoying to fire a long rifle at a sharp angle downwards in a surprise act of terrorism, you would probably have to break the glass to get an angle and that would give people life saving time and warning to react.

you’re not the weird one, but if it was a security measure, it’s one that was easily bypassed since the balconies in the rooms had no barriers… in fact, i set up a tripod on my balcony for some night photography – (then the fog rolled in but that’s another story)

tho to be fair lets not make the mistake of assuming it isn’t security architecture because it isn’t rational lol

Well that’s easy. It’s because you didn’t pay for a ticket to watch the game. Go enjoy your view of the horizon

oh, i have a nice surprise for you, here’s my view of the stadium

will admit i have no clue what hotel rates would be on game day tho… and you’d better bring your spotting scope! 🤣
