Its funny because I have no issue killing or robbing NPCs no matter how good or friendly they are. But the second any multiple choice response pops up, pictured below is me any time I hover over the rude answer.
Pooh lookin ahh kid
Yup, this was me. I picked up Stellaris probably not even a year ago at this point. While not entirely friendly, I at least made peace with my neighbors during my first play through. And then for my second play through I pirated all the DLC because holy fucking shit that’s expensive. I ended up becoming the crisis, blew up some stars, and eventually the whole universe. Good times.
Dog is sad

I had the reverse issue in Undertale. I went through it the first time and was mad at Undyne. I believe at the end of the normal route, I heard that Undyne still wanted to fight the humans or what have you. And I was like, “you think I’m monster? After I gave you water? I’LL SHOW YOU A MONSTER.” I felt super bad killing Papyrus, but I was like, “I’m sorry, it’s for the greater good.”
At the end, I was warned that the game wouldn’t forget that play through, and I was like, “Good.”
There was a moment in my evil playthrough of fallout 3 where I robbed a man’s house, killed him in his sleep, ate him, then slept in his bed. After a moment of clarity, I closed the game and never played that save again.
I didn’t realize post cannibalism clarity was a thing
I played an earlier version of Baldur’s Gate 3 and encountered a bug where I couldn’t for the life of me figure out a way to progress without killing Karlach. I stopped playing that save-file, because I didn’t want to kill her. Now I’m going to revisit it after the big update from awhile back.
She wasn’t recruitable in her first instance during early release
I just can’t do it. Tried doing it on Red Dead Redemption 2, and the very beginning guy hanging from the cliff, I just couldn’t do it.
I can’t do it on any games I play, because I choose options that I would actually make in that situation. :'-]
Tried doing a genocide run on undertale once. Had to close out the game after killing undyne and I haven’t picked it back up since.
I did an evil playthrough of KOTOR where I did all the normal stuff but kept choosing the dialogue options for “give me money” to rack up the dark side points.
Darth Pockets lives on
It’s Light Side later
People being alive makes the world more alive, so I usually try to avoid unnecessary deaths.
Me after killing Emma in Sekiro to get the Shura ending
I just… I will never be able to recruit Minthara.
You can knock her out instead of killing her. You can then save her from execution in Act 2 to recruit her. She can even have a bit if a redemption arc, iirc.
Oh no way! Agh! Okay, I know what I’m trying next time.
There are some specific steps (knock her out before the hobgoblin boss, else she does not remain temporary hostile, and after you knock her out, you need to kill the other two bosses before the long rest, else she wake up and you need to knock her out again), but it’s feasible. There are a lot of YouTube video about it. She is in all my runs (she is one of the funniest companion), and I never killed the tielflings
You need a mod for this. In Vanilla, if you save the grove, she’s treated as dead. At least that what happened for me.
You don’t need a mod. They added it in Patch 6.
Oh shit, I just killed her in my current playthrough because I thought it didn’t matter anyway. Which sucks. I really love her voice, and she has a fun arc.
Arghhh
Why hasn’t anybody told me that before
Honestly never even realised you could until I looked it up later. Just appeared to be another boss fight to me.
I think you can knock her out and force her to join you, but even then…
At least it’s not 3.5 rules where mere association breaks paladin oaths!
Cult of the Lamb can help solve this.
I’ll prioritize sacrificing newer followers over older ones but as soon as an old one gets cocky they’re going into the stew.
Completely opposite for me.
I try to be nice but that’s just not in my nature
