    Depends on the state, some require both parties to know the conversation is being recorded. “I’m recording this call” should be enough.

    While it “should” be enough for a company “agent” to tell you the account is paid off. Courts tend to be pro business and there’s probably language in the contract about mistakes…

      I really wonder what a lawyer would think about this.

      I did a quick check on the MA laws around it and it says that you need to obtain consent from all parties on the call. It would be interesting if the company tries to argue that its AI would count.

      From a legal perspective, recording a call like that may just count as recording yourself.
