Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram after the Department of Homeland Security suggested they may pursue arrests of three Democratic lawmakers who partook in a protest outside of an ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), Rob Menendez (D-NJ) and LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) all attended the protest.
If he does that, all solutions should be on the table. Including second amendment solutions.

Yeah I can’t help but read this headline and think “the line they crossed” was kidnapping people and shipping them off to a Salvadoran concentration camp. Who gives a fuck if they’re representatives, we’re supposed to be a democracy.
That’s part of the problem with the people of the USA… when a republican does something evil, you guys twist in pretzels to justify it is not quite THAT evil… when someone stands up against evil (I am not going to say Democrats to that but in this case AOC is standing up and she happens to be a democrat) then all the “yes but…” comment start
This is how I see it:
The USA was circling the drain for at least a few decades and now it has been flushed (flushed, it’s done, you are now in the sewer)
You now have a small (very small) window to save yourselves from starting WWIII which is the logical outcome when the US economy collapses (they are not going to suddenly say “hey we were wrong” and take it)
You should fight not just because it is morally compulsory but because you will suffer greatly personally. If you wait to be in pain (no job, no house, etc) it will be too late, you are already almost too late
You need to stop cherry picking the very few people you have that seem to have the bravery and/or smarts to fight back somehow. An imperfect ally is NOT an enemy
You need to JOIN the fight
By who? Whose going to do that?
You. You, the people. Canada is doing it with boycotts which are deeply hurting the US. We didn’t have to be told to do it. Nobody organized. We just did it.

I can go on multiple social media sites now and find nothing but right leaning sentiment everywhere I go. I go on Facebook and it’s filled with Incel groups, local community groups where there are daily posts reminding people of the latest left wing hypocrisy, there’s are discords filled with kids sharing memes and ideas to fuck with the left. They are actively participating in the modern world and shaping and spreading their ideas and issues.
The left are absent. We have Lemmy. Barely. The idea of getting shit done is a bullshit protest in Cincinnati nobody cares about. We tell each other to stop engaging people online with our ideas and messages because it’s pointless.
FFS you all still think that “Nazi” and “fascists” are sick burns. That’s a 40 year old name Republicans have always been called and it’s not exactly accurate so it has no sticking power. We’re outdated and outworked. The left is fucking dead in the water. That’s no effort. There’s no content being created. There’s no organizing. There’s no support for anything. There’s no awareness for how to spread anything.
So when you say “you” what do you think is actually going to change here because we have a serious problem of not organizing and not engaging and not addressing why we are ineffective. Protests haven’t done shit for decades. Considering how much there has been vs how much change has occurred. There’s no adaptation to the new world. You’d think with all these artists and comedians and brains the left claim there are we’d be more effective.
