My favorite hate during urban commuting: black SUV with soccer mom* talking on the phone, turning across the bikelane one-handed. No blinker, barely a glance in my direction. I always go as fast and as close as I can without endangering myself. Them shocked and suddenly braking (way too late of course) satisfies me, but far too many still don’t notice.
But now I live in the countryside and that brings a whole different set of dangers with it.
* this had something to do with the times I was commuting - during the day, off rush hour.
So many drivers never use their blinkers, even on college campuses they are shit at it
And then they blame us for not being able to tell where their 2 ton truck is going like MY BROTHER YOU’RE TURNING LEFT WHILE STARING AT THE LOT LIZARD 300 FEET AWAY ON THE RIGHT!!!
What’s a lot lizard?
Term for a prostitute that gets business from truck stops.
I’ve got the opposite problem. At work, I sometimes have to cross the road near a busy mini roundabout, and the number of times I’ve almost been hit by a car is shockingly high. Cars will signal that they’re taking the first exit, only to suddenly accelerate straight ahead instead. It’s genuinely baffling.
Exiting a roundabout without blinker 👁️ 👄 👁️
Blink twice if you understand
blinks left
blinks right
accelerates backwards😉😉
I’m sorry I let Jesus take the wheel
