India on Saturday declared that any future act of terror against the country will be considered an “act of war” and will be responded to accordingly, top government sources confirmed, marking a significant policy shift amid escalating hostilities with Pakistan.The announcement came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level security meeting with defence minister Rajnath Singh, national security advisor Ajit Doval, chief of defence staff, and the three armed forces chiefs at his residence in New Delhi.
