Doesn’t handle fundamentally different than 2-way, except you have less hardware = less compute per thread. Basically the same as using slower clocking cores, if they hide the multithreading right.

Has been a thing in IBM processors for years.
They even do 8-way multithreading. Doesn’t handle fundamentally different than 2-way, except you have less hardware = less compute per thread. Basically the same as using slower clocking cores, if they hide the multithreading right.
