I found the most important bit of that article is his threat to deploy unmanned teslas to select cities. If you live in one of those cities, be very aware of your surroundings, because someone will pay for his hubris with their life.

There’s already someone in my city posting videos of “how well” the autopilot navigates the intersections of pedestrianized streets and I hate it. They are enthusiastically beta testing their lethal shit around pedestrians like it’s nothing.

If you’re close enough to drop caltrops reliably (ie, while avoiding other cars), you’re close enough to be spotted by the car cameras. At that point, just mask up and stick a knife in the tire wall.

Montreal. There’s someone with a YouTube channel named TaiigerBlue that posts “FSD tests” from all around the city.

EDIT: I didn’t know what “caltrops” are. And anyway any kind of damage to a precious motorized vehicle is considered a grave offense. I once hit the rear bumper of a car that cut me with my bike wheel and the driver chased me, cut me again, got out of his car, yelled at me, and then slapped me in the face, saying “YOU DON’T TOUCH MY CAR BRO!1!”

I assumed “caltrops” were the little metal spikes you put on the ground to fuck up tires. Then you responded and made me think it was a location in Canada. I couldn’t find a Caltrops, Canada though.

Oh! I assumed it was a short for a location in California or something like this. I didn’t know the word for those things and thought it was a place.

It truly is scary. Their tech is worse than human drivers, who are already collectively dogshit.

Perhaps we should tilt the scales in favor of one particular hubristic asshole winning that honor.

Sorry bud. The stench is unremovable. Musk could die tomorrow and nothing would change. The brand is toxic.

Thankfully I suspect that it’s far too late to regain any credibility for him.

He can completely remove himself from public life and go into hiding and his very image will still be toxic as fuck to any business he is associated with. He’s nuked his own ability to run any business and I suspect people will never forget what he’s done regardless of how far he “pulls back”
