This is the most humane immigration policy of this Admin. The only problem I have with it is the amount is stupid low. $5-10K would probably be motivating to many immigrants and would still be cheaper than paying icepigs to kidnap them.
The only downside I can think of is immigrants crossing the border just to collect. But that’s not really much of a problem and quite funny on top.
