Gym class. It was like they literally didn’t know how to actually teach the rules of the sports, the coaches just expected that parents and siblings had already taught their kids. Well I didn’t have any siblings, and my parents never knew either.
Like, what defines a fumble, a foul, a touchdown, etc…? What the fuck does 3rd and Down mean? I’m 42 years old and still don’t know most of this shit.
They didn’t teach us any of that shit, they just expected all students to somehow know all those things. And they actually had the nerve to ask me, as a math nerd, if I would keep score…
Like seriously what in the actual fuck? How am I supposed to keep score on games I don’t even know the rules and language to?
Edit: I wasn’t exactly a lazy kid either, I loved climbing trees and riding BMX flatland, but those are simple to score. You gain points by completing the climb/trick, and you lose points when you fall and bust your ass, and there aren’t even any official points when playing on your own.
Basically any of the team ball sports. I mean I’m not exactly dumb, I get the basic gist of most of the sports, but I don’t know enough to actually be qualified to play any of them without accidentally making some wrong move and somehow get accused of cheating or some shit.
And people take their sports way too damn seriously for me to care to get cussed at for making a mistake, so I just said fuckit and stuck to single player sports like tree climbing and BMX flatland, where the only real rule is all moves are valid moves as long as you don’t get hurt.

Which sport was that? Basketball? The only one I remember any rules for is football.
