Inquest heard from bus passenger who saw the child "jumping at the sound of the horn" and then he "seemed to be losing control", however a police investigator told the court there was "no evidence" the boy veered into the driver's path having lost control
I was getting something from the sliding rear door of my van a few weeks ago. Some driver, being courteous in their own mind, bipped the horn while going past startled me causing me to hit my head and fall back into the road being only a fraction of a second from him rolling over my head with his back wheel.
The courteous thing to do, if your not sure there is space, is to stop and wait until the moving obstacles have cleared out of the way.
