Looked it up The “72 Names” refers to a collection of 72 three-letter combinations in Kabbalah, believed to hold mystical power and be useful for various purposes like healing, protection, and spiritual enlightenment.
I may have known it at one point, but not memorized currently.

I believe in cherry-picking from every religion in the world… (or any story) … the Cherry Picking art symbol / religion teaching tool I use is the 1776 “Great Seal of the United States of America” (science thinking / non-instrumental reason thinking). I created a teaching website at www.GreatSealUSA.com and there is also a Lemmy Community at !GreatSealUSA@lemm.ee
72 names or any other esoteric entities
The Star of David / Solomon’s Seal is part of the USA Great Seal symbolism, as is the Egypt pyramid on the Nile river and many other symbols! It’s all about picking the best of everyone together on Pale Blue Dot.
::: _______________ “Esoteric spirit that moved not only the people who drew that [Great] Seal, but the entire philosophy the early republic was based upon. And how utterly deplorable and regrettable and terrible it is that all of this has been virtually totally forgotten by our days. And that we have held, The American People, have held in their very hands, handed to them by people like Franklin and Jefferson and all kinds of others… One of the most splendid treasures of spiritual philosophy - applicable to all manner of human purposes. And we have discarded it. And we are running around like beggars, the world over, picking up crumbs from every kind of anarchists, Marxists, this thing, fascists, this thing that thing, all over the world. All of which, put together, could never come close to the psychological spiritual wisdom that was given to us to begin with… and that we have simply forgotten about and thrown away. And how incredibly unfortunate and terrible this is. And, I know for a fact, that Joseph Campbell feels this very very keenly.” - Joseph Campbell: A Modern Sage - 1986 on “Inner Reaches of Outer Space” book - Dr. Stephan A Hoeller
I may have known it at one point, but not memorized currently.
I don’t feel or think memorization is necessarily necessary, just grasping the general gist is enough, until one is ready to delve deeper.

I’m almost Omni myself, I’m thinking “Deist” is the same and yes, the most appropriate tool available for the job at hand. “Almost” because Laveyan Satanism seems too Randian, for my particular tastes, but I haven’t gone that direction for a fresh look in several decades. A particular Watcher keeps popping up in my attention field, lately, but I’m very fond of the 72 names, in a general grasp kind of way.
I’m extremely fond of Campbell/Moyers work with slight discrepancies in thought, which is always, always under revision – once “done” the Great Work is always refined, even torn down to be rebuilt, a Tower (of Babel?) in and of itself.

I think Marx has plenty of to offer, cherry -picking, of course.
Stephen Hoeller*, the tarot reader? Fascinating. I’ve used tarot as a tool for reflection, doing shadow work… The way it should be used, for “divinatory” purposes. That is, for knowing myself. Which TBH, is what I was hinting at, when I asked if you used any esoteric entities, which started this conversation. Imagine my delight when I recently learned, after three years of using tarot specifically to those ends, on learning a licensed practitioner also does , in the California. Iirc LA area, but I could be misremembering. Also Myss’ Archetypes Cards. Daily. Which brings us full circle. 🌀
Thanks so much for your help most kind and detailed reply.
I’m curious if you work with the 72 names or any other esoteric entities? At any rate, I’m very much enriched by your posts that show up on my feed.
“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” Thank you.
