Yeah wait so far all this guys does is post rape stories. I mean, awareness of these issues is important but that’s a weird niche to choose to fill…

Person from India upset about sexual violence going on in India posts local stories about it to a global platform to give it more visibility.

      Lemmy: “you weird fuck”

    • I haven’t seen any comments ftom the poster… do they say weird shit?
I don’t like knowing these things are happening, but if the poster is trying to draw attention to something like this getting ignored maybe it has a place.

This guy was always posting about child rapes in India under his other account. He got a bunch of push back so he thought he’d be tricky.

    The disgusting crime aside:

Deoria Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said the incident took place on Monday evening when the girl was out grazing goats.

Is it that safe to have a 4 year old alone grazing goats? I guess, there is not much actively to do while they graze, but nobody watches the child for accidents or well being and somehow they trust for her to generally keep watch over the goats. I don’t think I would’ve had the attention span for that at 4 years old.

    • People trust dogs to look after thier sheep. As long as you consider the child expendable, it’s all good. My understanding is that it wasn’t so long ago that was widely true in the US, so I can imagine it might still be true elsewhere.

And what guarantees that, exactly? Is this another instance of Lemmy being an expert on other people’s lives and/or psychology without an inkling of proof?

Bro try Google. It’s good to be skeptical but it’s not good to just unilaterally deny people’s assertions.

You can look into this relationship yourself. It is well studied and well understood. Just because you aren’t aware of it doesn’t make it not true.

You’re also the one the suggested a parental link to begin with. Kindly fuck off.

I’ll tell you now that there is no response you can give that I will entertain. You need say less and read more.

Bro what? How any more cluelessly condescending can you get? This is not a case of looking it up but of drawing conclusions out of nowhere. Do you just look up whatever phenomenon and apply it to every situation in your life? Is that who this works?

You’re also the one that suggested a parental link to begin with. Kindly fuck off.

I did no such thing, but please quote me.

You can look into this relationship yourself. It is well studied and well understood.

And it’s the parents’ fault? Are you sure about that? What if it was somebody else? What then? What if in this particular case that’s simply not the case? It’s certainly possible as well. The article doesn’t give you any details to go off on and yet we’re here drawing conclusions based on a generality. Why is that? Why don’t you go look up details about the case yourself and substantiate those claims? You know, following the burden of proof and all. I’m not gonna do your homework.

Or maybe you should look up burden of proof instead. Because it seems like you’re the one who needs to learn not to jump to conclusions out of thin air.

it’s not good to just unilaterally deny people’s assertions

And I’d argue that it’s more harmful to accuse people without reason, especially about sexual assault. You’re just turning people against others because you “guessed”.

And just for the record, and in the case that a parent was indeed molesting the kid in retrospect, it does not exonerate anybody drawing up random accusations.

So kindly, and reciprocally, fuck off yourself.

Did I? Is that the actual point I’m making? Because my stance is that there other possibilities here including that that maybe it was somebody else, that maybe it was only one parent, or maybe nobody did anything to the 14 year-old. We just don’t know.

Why is it acceptable to be speculating about the parents who may themselves be innocent? This is some toxic-ass behavior from this community that I can only describe as speculation assassination, meaning that you’re tarnishing the reputation of someone simply by following a hunch.

Does any of this not cross your mind? Because you’re awfully condescending about something I already know and did consider and yet you’re not showing signs of critical thinking yourself.
