Really wanted to learn embroidery so I picked up several kits and I have now officially completed my first one! Hope you like! :)

Endlessly scrolling junk and this jumped at me! Something about it really grabbed my attention. Love to get into cross stitch (sp?) someday, far too many hobbies and works ATM.

This one is actually embroidery! Similar but more organic i think, i haven’t tried cross-stitch yet! Don’t know which is more difficult though

You can get started quite easily with complete kits on Etsy (check to make sure it comes with a hoop). Try to go for a small piece for the beginning.

Take your time when stitching and undoing parts is at least for me not out of the ordinary :D

I learned that I like cross stitch more. So I can highly recommend to try it as well.

Definitely what ComfortableRaspberry said, get a kit (this one was a kit and took me a couple weeks just doing it in my free time) and take your time! Enjoy it, and with all first attempts, don’t be afraid to suck!

How was working with black fabric? Did you lose stitches?

Edit: until I saw the moon I thought this was cross stitch, not embroidery. The questions still stand, but I don’t know if they’re as relevant

I did lose a couple stitches but overall it went very well! I haven’t worked with anything else so I didn’t know that this was a common thing with black fabric, interesting!
