Good thing winter is on its way, so I can cover it up when I have to go outside.

That’s it, that’s the update for today :)

It’s alright, no need to be sorry^^

While I do want to go for more stereotypically feminine styles, any gender can do and wear whatever at the end of the day :)

Idk, I think I’m not a fan of buns in general. But who knows, maybe it’ll actually look good on me.

I’ll try it, that’s for sure

Ticking the inside of your ear and nose is the worst. It’s great that I call it the same thing. Whatever you choose to do with that hair you’re beautiful.

Headbands and scrunchies are your friend!

Also milestones worth celebrating (say, with a beer or smoothie or banana split):

    • Hair in the eyes
    • Hair in the mouth
    • Hair down the throat
    • Hair at the shoulders
    • Using an entire Costco bottle of fancy conditioner every month

      confirm!

Also milestones worth celebrating (say, with a beer or smoothie or banana split):

      • Hair in the eyes ✔️
      • Hair in the mouth ✔️
      • Hair down the throat ✔️
      • Hair at the shoulders ✔️
      • Using an entire Costco bottle of fancy conditioner every month ✔️

I guess I have to catch up with my celebrations, yeah!

      I’d also add

      • I am going to shower but I’m not washing my hear because it takes too much time to wash and then to dry!

I stopped washing everyday and my scalp thanks me for it. I was my hair about every 5 to 7 days. Unless I’m out hiking and sweating a lot or I just get really dirty but on normal weeks is like 5 days. I’ve got super thick hair as well so ya drying can very a real chore. I do make sure to put some oil in it once it’s dry though. How do I post a picture so everyone can see?

Me too, I usually wash it only on Sundays…but sometimes it just feels like a big chore, it’s so much effort…

Probably because I don’t know how to dry it effectively…maybe I need to watch a tutorial?

do make sure to put some oil in it once it’s dry though.

me too, I put oil every once in a while and brush them everyday to keep it nice. I have fairly long hair now (3+ years growing!)

I’ve grown and cut my hair several times before I started balding, from my experience, hair in the eyes is the start of the awkward stage, and hair in the mouth is when you’re at the end of it

Oh you’ll love how warm your neck is with the hair! Seriously, try lifting the hair from there when it’s cold, you’ll def notice how much it protects you from the cold!

Considering how often I flip-flopped between a near buzzcut and a bit longer hair for winter, I absolutely know how radical the difference is

The awkward phases can be very annoying but it’s definitely worth it to battle through them. The first time I grew my hair I cut it because I couldn’t stand it getting in my eyes all the time. I definitely regret that. It’s past my shoulders now though and it’s amazing.

I trimmed mine down to 6mm for the longest time, but now… Feeling the wind in my hair fills me with so much joy

Right there with you! Excited for it to get past that stage though 😁

I’ve found that beanies make me feel cute even though I’m in that awkward stage.

    Good luck! ❤️

When I was growing mine it was the pandemic so I didn’t have to really deal with the awkward phase, but I sadly discovered that my hair is EXTREMELY oily and it would get dirty in one day, so I’d need to wash it at least daily, if not more when it got hot and I started to sweat, so I gave up on it

Lol I remember when I was at that point a few years ago. I was super worried about it but then COVID happened and I didn’t have to go outside for any of it…

I tucked my hair into a beanie completely for a long time. It looked more feminine to me, since I’d only ever seen women tuck all of their hair into one. Now it’s long enough for a bun, but every day I want more of it! And… Do get it trimmed to help it grow healthily, my hair is so split I’m afraid I will need a chop.
