Canard aircraft can potentially have poor stealth characteristics because they present large angular surfaces that tend to reflect radar signals forwards.
Oh well the answer is obvious, as Ellen Mosque once said, no plane is actually a stealth plane because cameras can still see them, so canards obviously don’t make a difference!
I also wonder about acoustic signatures on these supercruise 6th gen models. Sure, you spend less cumulative time behind enemy lines, but microphones are cheap and sonic booms are nicely all-at-once and loud. Especially if you’re flying nape of the Earth for the additional radar and IR/optical cover.
I don’t understand why everyone in the aviation community seems to hate canards and atthis point in too afraid to ask why…
