Not sure which app you use, but I use deluge, and I changed cache settings to:

2048 cache size (16 KiB blocks)

45 sec cache expiry

then made sure that sequential downloading is checked for torrenting. Became a bit more stable, though still drops occasionally. I’ve noticed it on my old HDD by Toshiba, which is 90% full.

CrystalDiskMark for random read/write tested like 0.23MB/s for either. Though if I copy some file from SSD to HDD (sequential), it gets copied at standard speed of about 40MB/s.
