The Kushner family was sharply criticized eight years ago after the sister of Jared Kushner, then senior White House adviser to his father-in-laws Donald Trump, traveled to Beijing to tempt wealthy Chinese with an EB-5 Green Card with an investment in one of the Kushner family’s real estate projects — an offer that a former White House ethics lawyer under George. W. Bush called “corruption, pure and simple.”
While you are correct, they will likely reinvest their money locally over time and “their” money will make money off of the labor performed by the working class. People always warn about pyramid schemes, yet the stock market is basically one big pyramid scheme that companies put a portion of working class income into daily as part of their 401k’s. If you want to be able to retire, invest in our pyramid scheme! (Oh and even if everyone is winning in the pyramid as a whole, you can still lose, “volatility”)
