The white people in South Shore tended to dislike Brockton when I lived there. I can’t imagine why.
It’s a proud Bostonian tradition to dislike everyone. While our city has a long and dark history with bigotry I think by the time I was growing up in the 90s we achieved an egalitarian level of hate “Oh, the only thing I hate more than the Irish are the Italians, and don’t get me started on the blacks, they’re even worse… almost as bad as the fucking Irish.” /s

Woostah has that weird pronunciation that doesn’t match the spelling, but there’s always a ‘T’ in Worcester!
I always liked phonetically spelling it “wuss-TAH” I’ve never seen someone mispronounce it after that description… it shouldn’t sound like “Woosh” without the H - it should be a more narrow sound between Wuss and Wiss - for perfect accuracy throw your tongue against your teeth in wuss when you hit the S.
