    I’m not american but how exactly is making your name match birth certificate denying women’s rights?

      Normally when you get married the woman changes her last name to match her husband. So this rule would make married women unable to vote.

      In the US it is common for women to legally change their their last name to their Husband’s last name when they get married. Having eligibility to vote tied to your name matching your name at birth would make these women unable to vote.
