Summary
Elon Musk has taken control of key federal agencies via his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), staffed by a group of young engineers with little to no government experience.
The engineers are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran. None have responded to requests for comment from WIRED.
These individuals, aged 19 to 24, have gained access to sensitive federal systems, including those of the Treasury Department and USAID.
Experts warn that Musk’s unchecked influence poses security risks and a potential government takeover.
I will speculate that for many American companies such activities would be a positive element on a resume.
It may make more sense to have public website listing their names, personal details and their role around working Musk/Trump. This is something they are unlikely to be happy about (even if major American tech companies block the website).
I doubt it. These people are disassembling the US government and are fucking amateurs. You don’t want that class of idiot on your team.
Companies usually care too much about profitability to waste funds on political toadies.
