“The FCC chair is clearly undertaking an effort to bully and intimidate independent journalism, which is a hallmark of authoritarian regimes where democracy is under siege,” said one critic.

wait a second, were these the same “pro palestinian” “protesters” calling the incumbent democratic president “genocide joe” and telling people they weren’t going to vote for him, while marching in every american city and taking over college commons across the country during the spring and summer of an election year, chanting “from the river to the sea”? democratic youth vote was the lowest on record this last election, while the republican youth vote was the highest, more arab and latino americans voted for donald trump in the last election than have ever voted for any republican candidate before in us history.

donald trump won his second term by 2.3% of the vote

congratulations, not only did you make jews terrified, eschewing 100 years of bedrock jewish support of the democratic party, you ensured the return of someone without an inkling of concern for your issues

and we told you this was going to happen while they were doing it, the stupidest shit i’ve ever seen in my life

Important side note is that the entire pro Palestine, genocide joe movement was clearly a psyop started by Kremlin goons, and people ate it up. Moscow wanted their boy back, and did all they could to get liberals on the pro Palestine movement by planting seeds onto gullible peoples minds to not vote based on this issue without pointing out the fact that Trump was far worse for Palestine. People need to realize that Moscow (and others, but mostly Moscow) intentionally mislead people online. You can’t just assume the hot takes you see online are even from a real person. Most of the crazy shit online is coming from people who are spending 8 hours a day trying to mislead you. It’s just so sad to see the Internet weaponized in this way. When we were kids, we were so excited about being able to play games and communicate with people around the world. We thought this would bring us together, and instead, Putin and co have weaponized it. There’s no way to get away from modern yellow journalism in the comment section without destroying free speech. It’s fucked.

So, no blame to the prior-candidate for not listening to those protests? Or the followup candidate who agreed with the prior?

The person you’re responding to is either a foreign actor or gullible enough to believe the foreign actors and repeating their talking points. He does this a lot. Thanks for calling it out.

I like how it’s somehow non-voters fault even though they made their position abundantly clear. They’re literally one of the only groups I don’t blame. They told everyone repeatedly that they wanted an end to US support for Israel’s genocide. Biden didn’t do anything, and Kamala made no significant promises to end it.

Obviously Trump wasn’t going to end the genocide, but continue it. But the point was taking a principled stance against an administration that could do something and did virtually nothing. When your options are genocide or genocide, and that’s your main issue at the polls, of course you won’t vote.

Also you’re the person yesterday who was lying saying there’s no genocide in Israel. You never did reply to my comment after yours was removed.

So they sat home and let the worst of the options take control.

They cant really say genocide is their biggest issue if all they did was make it worse. Because that is what they did.

They made it worse because now its spilling over into the us.

Immigrants are being shipped to Guantanamo Bay, and trans folks are being erased from federal information.

And you ask, “How did they make it worse?”

What a stupid fucking thing to ask.

In regards to the Israeli genocide. Reading comprehension helps, so I’d use that if I were you. And what exactly did Biden do to stop Trump from doing literally any of this? He could have had Trump arrested and that would have been that since he’s a president and it’s an official act.

Then, when he was polling terribly after his first debate, he forced Kamala to be the only option for the Dems. The Democratic party didn’t even have a democratic primary. And somehow this is voters fault?

And what safeguards did Biden/Dems put into place to protect immigrants or trans people huh? Oh that’s right, absolutely fucking nothing. Because they don’t care about trans people or immigrants, they’re just talking points for Dems.

You can blame people with principles all you want. But Biden did nothing about Trump for 4 years. Everything that’s about to happen is on him. And in the future his name will be spoken in the same way that James Buchanan is.

The non-voters are just as culpable as directly voting for Trump.

They were so concerned about a genocide in another country that wasn’t going to change regardless of the election outcome, they ushered in genocide to our own country.

They are not. And this is an excuse to take responsibility from Biden and his administration. Trump should be in prison But Biden’s administration was the one tasked with doing that and did fuck all. Even when the Supreme Court gave him absolute power to do anything as president, he still didn’t bother to arrest Trump.

Democrats in power don’t actually give a shit about the issues they pretend. And those that would vote for them are tired of excuses.

They are. We all knew the dangers of Trump getting back into the Whitehouse. It hasn’t even been 2 weeks and he’s already well on his way to a fascist takeover of the government.

If you really thought that not voting was helping Palestinians at all, you’re really fucking stupid and actually made things much worse for them.

The Israeli genocide is awful, but it wasn’t even in the top ten major issues facing our country.

Again, if Palestine was your single issue that caused you not to vote, you’re a moron and in every way as culpable for the damage he does as his supporters.

Erroneously passing the buck onto principled non-voters doesn’t address Biden or Democrats inability to do anything during their tenure about Trump. And as of right now the Israeli genocide is as armed now as before Biden was in office. You can look at my other comments for sources.

You can feel however you want. But ultimately those with power failed you. And if you thought voting was going to save the US you’re incredibly naive. The fascist streak in the US was never going to end with Trump. What we’re seeing now is horrifically inevitable. Simply because those in power did nothing to stop it.

All of that was irrelevant at election time. The only thing that would stop Trump at that point was voting for his only viable opponent.

Yes, the Biden administration failed to do their job and stop Trump, but the American people did the same thing.

This isn’t a zero sum game. Biden is culpable, and the people who didn’t vote for Harris are culpable. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

And I’m telling you, yet again, non-voters are in no way culpable. It was Biden’s job, and then Kamala’s job to gain voters. And they both did so terrible we ended up with Trump again. And again, if you think voting will save the US from fascism you’re incredibly naive.

Also, it was never irrelevant. Again, the Supreme Court gave Biden immense power through their official acts ruling. He did absolutely nothing with it. He could have thrown Trump in prison and said tough shit. But he didn’t, and now we have Trump again.

You are supremely ignorant as to how the us government functions.

Do you think the conservative controlled government would have declared biden throwing trump in prison an official act?

                    Disingenuous fuck.
