I wonder if PS5 cloud streaming will eventually be enabled for their portal device to sweeten that deal a little more.
It has to be in the roadmap for it. I don’t see how it isn’t.
So what is the point here? I need to own the game and have a PS5 and use PS5 to stream it. Why not just install the game and forego lag and compression artifacts?
The only use case I can think of is that you don’t have space on the drive, but if you have the bandwidth to play these, deleting and downloading titles should not be an issue…

It literally is like xcloud/gamepass. It is only available via sonys version of gamepass.
Game pass can be played on multitude of devices. It also gives you access to ton of games for a smaller fee.
Sony offering gives you access only to games you already own, on one platform only (same platform that already plays the games)
You are wrong, and it takes two seconds to look this up. Literally take the two seconds.
Starting today, we’re taking a step forward in cloud gaming by rolling out our PS5 cloud streaming feature for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This includes supported PS5-native games available through the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog* and Game Trials, as well as supported digital PS5 titles you own.
It’s probably like this to grow slowly, they only have 200 cloud ps5s to run this stuff so make a version that three people will use today, to tune it and make it work for a wider release on other platforms in a year or two
