    For some things saving for the risk is not possible for normal people. You probably can’t have enough saved in case your house burns down, you maim someone with your car, you need a medvac from abroad etc.

        Unfortunately no, the odds of you experiencing catastrophe are much higher than your odds of winning the lottery, especially if you live an active lifestyle.

            Yes. Every single one of those examples actually. I’m not being hyperbolic or joking. I know different people who have experienced at least one of each of those scenarios.

              I’d suggest you have a more unique experience then. I couldn’t say I have met anyone that ticks those boxes.
