I was running for my train. After entering in the station airlock, for a reason i still can’t explain, i turned right instead of continuing straight ahead and BAM, i hit a glass with my face. Now i have a little scar, fortunately hidden behind my eyebrow.
A long time ago I accidentally switched the brakes on my bicycle. They were also all worn out so I had to actually press both brakes really hard to actually slow down.
Well, after a year or so I finally decided to fix it and in the process I also switched the brakes to their correct places. The brakes worked really great, just pressing on them a little made the bike stop.
You can probably see where this is going, but anyway, one day I was riding the bike very fast and last second decided I was riding too fast to manage to drive that bridge without crashing. Since this was a last second panic decision, my brain kinda skipped the part which always made sure I remember I’ve switched the brake positions (but not the brain part that remembered I don’t have to press both brakes anymore, curiously) and I pressed the front wheel brake the way I was used to before, by slamming it all the way down.
The flight over the front wheel was spectacular, though it also hurt like hell.
