A freelancer selling their work for money seems like a weird thing to refer to as a cash grab.
Of course development is gonna be slower after supporting Reddit become non-viable; he instantly lost most of his potential future income from the project, and I assume he’s too busy paying his bills to devote much time to what is essentially just a hobby project in a field with a lot of competition. Maybe I’ll jump ship to get a more up-to-date Lemmy client, but for now it’s still the best one I know of, so I’ve gotten my money’s worth already.

Thunder has been progressing nicely IMO. I’ve been trialing most of the other popular Lemmy clients and that’s my current favorite to replace Boost if we don’t see an update sometime soon.
