@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Wait, does KDE Connect allow you to share files with your iPhone now? Is it on the App Store?

@kde@floss.social @tertle950 @kde@lemmy.kde.social Wow, I didn’t know that GPL-licensed software can be uploded to Apple’s AppStore and developers can use it.

@kde@floss.social @tertle950 @kde@lemmy.kde.social Maybe what I know was outdated, sorry for that. Apple already refers GPL as “FOSS” in their licence, and they probably don’t intend to ban everything. Interesting.

@tertle950 @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social you can. I found it a bit unreliable sometimes because iOS does iOS stuff behind the scenes. The Android client is solid on my devices.

I swap between #localsend and #kdeconnect . Most of the time I don’t need all the extras bundled with KDE Connect.

@pak0st @tertle950 @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Same for me. I just used kdeconnect for sending files and didn’t really use it for the other stuff. I use localsend now.
