@mattblaze@federate.social Does William Powell (“The Thin Man”, 1934 film) live there?
Captured with the Rodenstock 40mm/4.0 HR Digaron-W lens (@ f/6.3), Phase One IQ4-150 digital back (@ ISO 50), Cambo 1200 camera (shifted vertically -10mm).
London’s “Thin House” looks as if it belongs in a Potemkin village or as a background facade on a Hollywood studio lot, but it’s something of a Tardis, larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. Created to make way for the tracks of the Metropolitan Railway (now the District and Circle lines) behind it, its triangular footprint gives it the illusion of being little more than a shallow rectangle when viewed from the street.
@mattblaze@federate.social I’ve been in London so many times and not seen nor heard about that house, Walking around a lot. Now I know if I go there again!
@mattblaze@federate.social That’s a cool shot!
i keep seeing your posts, so I’m finally gonna ask.
what’s it like shooting on the phase one iq4? what made you choose that system?
I’ve never actually known anyone who owned one. i mean they’re so damn expensive. do you think it was worth it? I worked in a camera store for a while, so I’m always curious why people choose the gear they do. especially with such uncommon gear.
these systems and the sigma foveon cameras are the ones I’m most interested in hearing about from long time users.
not trying to be hostile, just genuinely curious. I’ve never gotten my hands on one, and reviews often just don’t go deep enough into it for me to understand.
@mattblaze@federate.social Is it just a shell or do people live and work there?

@mattblaze@federate.social What in the hell!?! That is crazy.
@mattblaze@federate.social Also helps us imagine what a location from #BenAaronovitch’s #RiversOfLondon novel #WhispersUnderGround might look like. #TheThinHouse
