This is the problem with oligarchy. In societies where money buys influence and speech then the big businesses will always be represented over natural rights.
Another factor is that the privileged can easily afford experts and post-secondary classes for themselves so it is much easier for them to manipulate the average person into believing that the “rich know all the answers”.
