All Ukraine said is that Russia deployed 15000 men to Bakhmut and that Ukraine fighting in Bakhmut keeps them from being redeployed to the Zaporizhzhia front… Sensationalist titles, much?

I mean he also said “Now it’s redeployed to roughly the north of Bakhmut, and that’s the place where it’s going to be buried.”

To me it sounds like the strategy is to pin down units to prevent them redeploying, but this specific pinning is going so poorly for the Russians they have no means of escape.

      Maybe I’m misinterpreting.

It seems the Russian devaluation of human life extends to their own lives. Putin cannot be executed enough times to properly pay for his crimes against the innocent Ukranian citizens and even his own Russian conscripts.

If it’s any consolation it’s pretty bad to say but it might be good for humanity in the end. Half the issues they have is the lack of men caused by a previous war with a figure that Putin is trying to emulate now.

Putin is sending more of his men to their deaths unnecessarily. Could have been avoided by not starting the war. But what’s done is done, now that it is started the men that has been liquidated will help restrict Russia in the future. They still haven’t recovered from WW2.

One wonders what this means in the short term for Russian people in Russia. Forget the propaganda and where they think all of the men went, what will they do when there are no more men left age 16-50?

I think it’s a bit overestimated. There are many dead soldiers, yes. But it’s not like a whole generation of men is whiped out

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Kyrylo Budanov told The War Zone that Ukraine was pinning down Russian forces in Bakhmut to prevent them from being deployed to other axes where its counteroffensive is pushing forward.

The unit was suddenly deployed to the front lines, despite soldiers being told they would be sent to fight in December, the UK department said in an update earlier this month.

Their rushed deployment was likely a sign that Russia “continues to grapple with an over-stretched force along the front,” the update said.

While fighting continues to rage around the eastern city of Bakhmut, which Russia occupied in May, Ukraine’s counteroffensive has been pushing forward in the Zaporizhzhia area in the south of the country.

Oleksandr Tarnavsky, the Ukrainian general leading the counteroffensive on the country’s southern front line, told CNN in a report published Saturday that his troops had broken near the city of Verbove in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region and that they continued to advance further.

Budanov said: “The threat for Russians to lose Bakhmut makes them redeploy at all times additional and additional forces to the Bakhmut area, which of course drains their resources from other directions like the south.”

ya know… If I were in the 25th army… I’d be seriously asking myself what happened to the previous 24 armies. Granted, if i were in the russian army, things would be extremely fucked up indeed.

Can we just genocide the Russian army population and be done with it. C’mon Ukraine, just obliterate them. No stopping. Surrender just means “we agree not to make it difficult to shoot us”.

Please kill Putin in particular no matter how the war ends. I just need him to be dead. Everyone needs him to be dead. Him and Un cannot be allowed to live in a civilized world.

You don’t genocide an army. If you blow up or shoot the entire other side’s army, without the use of nukes or chemical weapons, that’s just normal war.

I know. I was trying to find a way to convert the idea of not just defeating them, but literally killing every single one.
