Riker was such a dick to Riker.

It’s like when his DNA was stolen and he and Pulaski issued late term terminations via phaser.

Why is he so fixated on being the only Riker?

        Is it incest or masterbation?

I would argue it is incest. Masturbation implies you acting sexually with your own individual self. A clone/alt.universe you is not your individual self, just another being who happens to have the same appearance, thoughts and identical genetic makeup as you, like an identical twin but more identical. The genetic identicallity would make it incest.

Okay, but what about time travel in a stable loop? If you’re only going back in time to bang past you because when you were younger future you showed up to bang you, what is that? It’s the same you, but at a different point on your timeline.

Different state of matter, separately acting consciousness. Still incest.

                separately acting consciousness

But in a stable time loop you are both people, even if not at the same time.

        Is a hotdog a sandwich?

No, because the hot dog bun is generally connected on one side making a folded V shape. It is a single piece of bread.
A sandwich must have two separate and discontinuous pieces of bread with the primary components in between them. So a hot dog is not a sandwich.

A hotdog is an open faced sandwich. I know my topologies, sir!

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally “othering” of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That’s okay! Just don’t let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it’s free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
