Its not superior until its ubiquitous, trust me, im all for higher capacity that sounds awesome. (Minus what happens when they explode) but I’ve yet to see devices utilizing them. Also means I have to redesign my battery bank, cause 21700 sounds perfect for our battery backup/120v inverter.
Well, this is a post about flashlights, a growing number are using them. And since a type-c charging port is more and common on this type of devices, you don’t need to worry too much about how to top them up (though they fit in a bog standard Lii-500 just fine).
Anyway i’m not contesting the ubiquity of 18650, I’m just saying 21700 might be the future.
