He has shifted center in his former years, in part because the Democratic party now basically emcompass 75% of the political spectrum, since the GOP is now far-right, and everything left of that has to be absorbed by the democrats.
Biden is making decent compromise, thanks to his legacy with Obama and members of the party like Bernie and AOC, but he is way too moderate to enact the solutions that the country needs, imo.
