That’s fair. I see that plenty in the stomping grounds I cater to (shameless plug for tenforward@lemmy.world). Part of why I make it a point to make OC, outside of my very first post to dip my toes into meme making and 2 recreations of “classic” memes that needed the HD treatment. It’s not a bad thing to hold onto those old jokes and fond memories. Many of them stand strong for a reason and hopefully they help drive creativity forward as they have for me/others.
