And that we can’t afford universal healthcare, billionaires and giant corporations shouldn’t pay taxes, money equals free speech, and lots of other shit voters on both sides disagree with.

We have an illusion of choice on some things, and absolutely no say in others.

It’s really awful that Americans’ choices are a) milquetoast neoliberalism or b) Great Value Mussolini.

As a Canadian, I would please ask that Americans vote for the milquetoast neoliberal and then spend the next four years primarying out “moderate Democrats”. With any luck, Trump will have had a heart attack by then and (thankfully) the rest of the modern Republican party is not particularly inspiring.

It’s the result of “moderate conservatives” becoming Democrats over the last 30 years.

It left extremist republicans to vote in their primary, and pulls Dems to the right. Everyone just shuffles to the right every election

If the neoliberals would have stayed in their original party, America would be a hell of a lot better off. But neoliberals wouldn’t win any elections. The only way neoliberals can win is making themselves the only other option besides trump.

It fucks the country over, but theyve never cared about America.
