Record-breaking renewable energy production signals ‘end to fossil age’, some researchers believe.

Renewable energy sources generated more electricity than gas in the UK this winter, according to new analysis.

It’s always night in the UK in winter.

Slight exaggeration but most of the renewable power the UK has is wind. Solar kind sucks as the UK is just so far north (but when solar is high wind tends to be low which is convient). So before I make a claim about wind power I actually looked it up. From this article it seems wind power tends to peak around 5pm which is pretty perfect for demand.

Electricity is cheaper at night though because demand is so low.

I’m a little confused by what you are asking though. You got some concern?

Probably one of those people who pretend that energy storage doesn’t exist in an effort to discredit wind and solar as “only working when it’s windy/the sun is shining” or some such nonsense.

The sun only rises to make it easier to see the clouds.
