Infertility affects one in six women in Germany. However, access to reproductive medicine is not available to all. The center-left government has said it wants to change the law, but experts are not optimistic.
On the one hand I agree that it is unfair that it is paid for for married couples and not in other cases. On the other hand we already have too many people on this planet and also if you can’t afford 13,000 Euros in fertility payments you can certainly not afford to raise a child.
I imagine that it’s not the 13,000 itself for many women, it’s that it’s 13,000 that they could keep it western society wasn’t so fucking hung up on marriage.
Shouldn’t be paid for anyone, in my opinion, as you say we’re already overcrowded and like three quarters of parents actually suck at being parents, which leads to all the depressed children and young adults.
