The “normal” forms of protest just don’t cut it anymore. When is the last time you’ve heard about one, let alone seen one?
It’s a (relatively) harmless shout for attention for a very dire problem.
Sounds like the Dutch and Germans aren’t that different after all.
Ours also ran over stuff with their tractors, blocked highways, rammed the main entrance of a city hall, and did some casual intimidation at a politician’s home address.
Peaceful folk they are.

the german farmers did a “normal” protest (with roadblocks and running over police officers) and instantly got the politicians to act in their favor.
